Since 2023, our school has been located on 5 acres of farm and forest backed up to 26,000 acres of wildlife management area just outside of Forest Lake, Mn. We are in the process of finding our new home and will be hosting our classes at nearby Nature Centers.
Beginning this Spring we will begin playing at the magical Tamarack Nature Center in White Bear Lake, MN. As the weather changes in Oct / Nov we will relocate roughly 10 minutes north to Wargo Nature Center in Lino Lakes, MN. Wargo is a serene, low-foot traffic, and beautiful nature center (truly a hidden gem).
Tamarack Nature Center is a 320-acre park preserve of prairies, ponds and woods, located within Bald-Eagle-Otter Lakes regional park in White Bear Lake.
Outdoor Classrooms:
The Wood: Tipi forts in a mixed hardwood forest of Maple and Oak.
The Pines: Children love the way the pine needles soften all sounds and create a magical ambiance to this area.
The Overlook: Practice your climbing.
The Stream: Make a dam and learn how water flows.
The Garden: Help grow plants, pull weeds and water.
The Hobbit House: Crawl in and over the house like a hobbit!
The tree coverage in our space provides continuous shade, and catches a good amount of any falling rain. We play at this gorgeous public space during warmer months of the year (typically May-October). These classrooms are utilized year-round for outdoor play.
As the weather changes we will relocate roughly 10 minutes to Wargo Nature Center in Lino Lakes, MN. Wargo is a serene, low-foot traffic, and beautiful nature center (truly a hidden gem). In the Spring and Summer of 2024, Wargo is undergoing a massive upgrade to its childrens play area that has been inspired by Tamarack Nature Center.
